He lectured in various universities (Marmara, Eskişehir Anadolu, and lastly Uludağ University, Faculty of Education). In 1995 he was appointed by the Rectorate of Uludağ University as the Founding Director and lecturer at İznik Vocational School. He moved his house to İznik and until his retirement in 2005, he lived there. In 2005, he established “Turgut Tuna Ceramic Studio” in İznik, but as the physical capacity fell short of, he moved to “Turgut Tuna Ceramic Farm” in Bursa in 2011.
Turgut Tuna, as a result of his experience from archeological excavation sites to restoration venues, from laboratories to ceramic and porcelain industry (1971-1975 İstanbul Porcelain) and his duties as restorer, designer, laboratory assistant, manager, planner, founder, educationist, and consultant) became an expert in his field. Today he continues to convey his experience as a culture researcher to his cultural and creative works in Bursa Ceramic Farm.
